What is Vyke SMS Calling?
Vyke SMS Calling allows you to make low cost international calls from your mobile phone just by sending and SMS message! This service provides substantial savings and convenience to mobile phone users. 
     
 
     
How does Vyke SMS Calling work?
To make a call, send an SMS command, containing the word 'call' and the number you would like to call to the Vyke SMS Calling system. Vyke SMS Calling will call you back. Once you answered the call, you will be connected to the phone number specified in your SMS. For a full list of SMS commands, click here.
     
 
     
 
How do I register my mobile phone number with Vyke SMS Calling?
You need to log into your Vyke account and go to the set up Vyke SMS page to enter your mobile phone number.
     
 
     
 
How many mobile phone numbers can I register with Vyke SMS Calling?
You can only register one mobile phone number at any one time.
     
 
     
 
Can I register a fixed line phone number with Vyke SMS Calling?
No. You can only register mobile phone number as you need to initiate a SMS in order to make a call.
     
 
     
 
Can I change the registered mobile phone number?
Yes. You can change it anytime on the Vyke SMS Calling page. Vyke SMS Calling only calls back to the mobile phone number that is specified by you.
     
 
     
 
What happens if I initiate a call to Vyke SMS Calling system using non-registered mobile phone number?
If you send a SMS from a non-registered mobile phone number, you will not receive a call back/reply from the system.
     
 
     
 
Will I be charged when I send a SMS command to Vyke system to initiate a call?
You will be charged by your respective mobile operator for every SMS send to the Vyke SMS Calling system. The SMS rates vary from one mobile operator to another depending on the rates offered by respective mobile operator at that particular country and time.
     
 
     
 
Where do I send my SMS command to?
Where you send your SMS commands depends on your mobile operator and subscription. Vyke has many SMS numbers covering most countries in order for our users to use Vyke SMS from anywhere in the world. Do I send the SMS command to the same number when I travel to another country?
Yes. When you travelling internationally, your SMS number stay the same – although you may be roaming on a different network, it is your home operator that processes your SMS messages.
     
 
     
 
If I use Vyke SMS Calling from outside my home network, will I receive roaming charges?
Yes. You will need to pay inbound roaming charges to your mobile operator in order to receive a call, however you will save on your outbound roaming.
     
 
     
 
What should I do in order to eliminate the inbound roaming charges when using Vyke SMS Calling?
You can reduce your inbound roaming charges by using the call@ feature to call back to a local phone number in the country you are visiting.
     
 
     
 
What is a call@ number?
With Vyke SMS Calling, you can receive a call back at an alternate phone number of your choice other than the mobile phone number that you have registered with Vyke SMS Calling. In another words, you can specify any other phone number that you want Vyke SMS Calling to connect back to, other than your registered mobile phone number. If you use call@ to connect to a local phone number while roaming, you will avoid inbound roaming charges. If you use call@ to connect back to a fixed line in your home country, in most cases, your per minute rate will be dramatically reduced.
